sweet little backyard wedding

I had an awesome opportunity to witness a beautiful backyard wedding a few weekends ago.  The family has been through a heartbreaking year, so this celebration was bittersweet and full of tears and healing and laughter.  Celeste had been a single mom to her adorable twin boys when she and Ted fell in love.  The ceremony was more of an outward expression of the unity of their new little family than a showy wedding.  As such, they included their boys in the ceremony, (the boys even got rings too!) and they never blinked an eyelash when the toddler twins ran off and hid in the bushes behind them, or had something to say.  It was a family affair!  <3

lego heaven birthday party

Get ready to view a Birthday Party that will bring you to your knees in awe and amazement.  Danita Berg: blogger, etsy store owner and self proclaimed "consummate DIYer" over at Homemade Serenity, threw a 5th Birthday Bash for her son Hunter last weekend that will undoubtedly go down in the annals of Epic Birthday Parties.  Hunter wanted a Lego themed birthday party, so naturally, Danita spent a month crafting, creating and baking in preparation for the Big Day.  There was everything from a Lego "Place Your Face" board to a balloon wreath featuring 525 balloons.  More fun included a Lego spoon race, a Lego version of Pin the Tail on the Donkey, a Lego Pinata, and a table full of homemade Lego sweets and treats! 

Once I walked through the door, I don't think my camera left my face for the entire time.  Get ready to have your socks knocked off! ;)
